About Consignment at Chat Noir

Chat Noir is an antiques and home decor shop that also sells items on consignment. We are always interested in selling your item for you in our store. Consignment guarantees you a fair price for your items while leaving the effort of displaying, storing and selling the item to us.

Terms of Consignment: You receive 50% (one half) of the final selling price. For items valued at $100 or more, you receive 60%!

About us: Chat Noir owners Kara and Bryan Munn each have over 15 years in the collectibles and antiques trade. We are experienced in most aspects of valuation and appraisal of your items. We strive to give careful, honest appraisals of your items and will work with you to sell your item for a fair price.

How to start: Phone us (519-767-6647) or drop by the store to talk about possible consignment. After we talk about your item(s), we then determine a price. You sign a short contract, and then your item is placed for sale in the store. When the item sells, you get a percentage (50%-60%) of the selling price.

What are we looking for?
We are always looking for quality furniture and home decor items, as well as antiques and collectibles for Chat Noir.

These include: small fine furniture pieces like Writing Desks, Bookshelves, Benches, Occasional Chairs, Small Tables, Stools, Rocking Chairs, Sets of Dining Chairs, End Tables, Nightstands, Washstands, Chests and Blanket Boxes, Settees, etc.

We are also interested in Antique and quality reproduction furnishings, ranging from primitive country and Canadiana to French Provincial, Mission Oak, Victorian, and everything in between.

As well, we are interested in antiques and home decor items such as Mirrors, Crocks, Plant Stands, Lamps, Chandeliers, sconces and fine lighting fixtures, wood boxes, seasonal outdoor furniture, etc.

-Collectibles including: Costume and signed Jewelry, Toys, Collectible and antique dolls, teddy bears (Steiff, etc), Art Pottery, Retro and Vintage Home Decor items, collectible kitchenware, collectible barware, Antique and collectible tools, Military collectibles, Coins and medals, Depression glass, Pyrex and Fireking, Vintage clothing and accessories, vintage and collectible table linens etc, vinyl lps and records, vintage and antique gramophones and older plastic radios, old comic books and magazines, pop culture and nostalgia memorabilia, etc, etc (ask us for details!)
